Are you not satisfied with the quality of the emails you’re sending? As a small business owner who specializes in branding, it’s important for my emails to sell myself and entice our subscribers to want to read more.
When I first made the decision to try MailChimp for my email marketing, I quickly realized that I needed a better option. MailChimp did not match my branding and the interface was definitely less than user-friendly. This search for a new email marketing platform led me to Flodesk, and I can confidently say my investment has been worth the money.
Meet Flodesk.
Flodesk was founded by Martha Bitar and Rebecca Shostak who set out to build an email marketing platform unlike anything else on the market (and boy, they delivered!) The simple platform helps you to create gorgeous, high-converting email campaigns within minutes, no more spending over an hour trying to design an email!
For a single monthly fee, Flodesk allows unlimited subscribers and access to all of its features. If you’re interested in saving 50% off your Flodesk subscription, click the link here. This means instead of paying $38 per month, you can get access to Flodesk for $19 per month!
Flodesk and Zapier and natively integrated. Zapier is an automation tool that connects over 1,500+ web apps instantly. Through Zapier, you can integrate Flodesk with Shopify, HoneyBook, Slack, TypeForm, Asana, Trello, and more.
Email Building.
Flodesk’s email marketing platform gives us full creative control to create emails that are always on-brand. The customization options are endless, letting its users choose from a wealth of pre-built layout options, a significant font selection, and the ability to save your brand’s colors. It also allows for easy integration of your Instagram feed to populate in the email footer. Lastly, when creating your email you can see how it will look on desktop and mobile.
Dashboard Layout.
On the Flodesk dashboard, you can see all of the emails you have created, drafts, scheduled emails and folders. You can get a quick picture of how your sent emails have performed by clicking on the bar chart symbol in the lower righthand corner of the email on your dashboard or hover your mouse over the email and click on the “view results” button. This link gives you a more comprehensive overview of how your email has performed.
Flodesk has a tab labeled “Audience” on its dashboard, this is your list of subscribers which you can filter based on status, activity, source, segment, and custom data field. You can manually add a subscriber to a segment or you can automatically sort subscribers when they sign up for your email list through a specific form.
To create forms and workflows, Flodesk has six pop-up, in-line, and full page template forms to choose from. You can easily customize these forms with your brand colors, images, and fonts. Workflows are tools used to build email sequences. When you click to build a new workflow, you will see a selection of four workflow templates: nurture, welcome, lead magnet delivery, and sales sequence. Workflows are one of the best features of Flodesk that I use regularly, making lead generation and launch sequences a breeze.
Final thoughts.
Email marketing doesn’t have to be a hassle, dare I say you can actually have fun while creating emails! I can’t recommend Flodesk enough for small business owners looking to easily collect email addresses and nurture their audience with high-value content. Look no further than Flodesk.
